This Friday evening session includes a 30 minute membership meeting and social followed by a one hour presentation on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder by Dr. Arreed Barabasz; Psychologist.
OSCH is honored to invite Professor Barabasz to speak on his exciting work on hypnosis in the treatment of PTSD. His Friday evening presentation will review the development and validation of his published ego state therapy protocol.
Arreed Barabasz is a Psychologist in Practice, Professor and Director of the Hypnosis Laboratory at Washington State University. He is the Editor of the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology, and recent Past President of the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis and the Society of Psychological Hypnosis of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Barabasz serves as a expert witness for hypnosis related criminal and administrative law cases. He continues to provide invited addresses and workshops in hypnosis and PTSD world-wide. In 2014, he received the ‘Best Published Research Paper Award from the American Psychological Assoc. D30. In 2015, Arreed was awarded the Morton Prince Award from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis for ‘Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Psychotherapy’ and from the American Psychological Association Psychological Hypnosis Division the ‘Distinguished Contributions to Professional Hypnosis award.
