Welcome! The Oregon Society of Clinical Hypnosis (OSCH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for qualified health and mental health care professionals desiring to learn hypnosis. We are a component section of The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), the largest U.S. organization for health and mental health care professionals using clinical hypnosis. We have been involved in hypnosis training and education dating back to 1956 when the society originally began as the Portland Academy of Hypnosis. From that time to the present, we have trained hundreds of licensed health care professionals in how to use hypnosis safely and ethically within their scope of practice. Today, OSCH offers presentations during the academic year, Basic and Intermediate professional hypnosis training annually, advanced workshops, and networking opportunities that can enhance both professional and personal lives. Additionally, OSCH offers consultation groups for members. For a current listing of OSCH offerings please see our Education page. All OSCH training programs utilize current hypnosis research and information and are consistent with ASCH guidelines for continuing education and certification. Please explore our website for information about our presentations, training and certification program, membership benefits and more. We promote excellence in the use of hypnosis by qualified health and mental health care professionals to advance appreciation of scientific research, education and standards and to educate others about the value, applications and ethical use of hypnosis. Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: Our CommitmentWe recognize the systemic inequities that impede both access to health care services and opportunity to work in the healthcare professions. We believe everyone should have a fair chance to benefit from, train in, and provide the valuable therapeutic approach of clinical hypnosis.
We believe in equity for all and welcome clinicians to our trainings and events irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, dis/ability, religion, and ethnicity. |
